Besides being a beautiful destination, Los Cabos is the perfect place for a photography session. It has a wide variety of picturesque places that can make a pretty backdrop for your pictures.

Here I share some of my favorite public places in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas that are great photoshoot locations.

Playa Monumentos or Monuments Beach:
This beach offers a privileged view of the Arch of Cabo San Lucas. So, on top of having this iconic place as background, you will be able to watch some of the best sunsets in the area.

Playa Diamante or Diamante Beach / El Suspiro:
This is the perfect place for interesting and unique photo opportunities. A photo session in the famous sand dunes in Los Cabos is always a wonderful idea. It allows you to experiment with different poses and angles to create interesting compositions.

Santa María Beach:
Without a doubt, this is one of the most popular and swim-friendly beaches in the area. It offers clear turquoise waters and stunning rock formations.

Downtown San José del Cabo:
If you are looking to add some color to your photography session, this beautiful place is ideal for you. With its colorful historical buildings, galleries, street art and more, the downtown area in San José del Cabo will make you fall in love with its charming Mexican style.

Playa Cabo Real/ Cabo Real Beach:
This lovely beach is located in the Tourist Corridor, near the Marquis Hotel. This secluded beach is a great option for those looking for a quiet place for their photoshoot.

Playa Hotelera in San José del Cabo (Hotel Zone, San Jose del Cabo):
Here you will find a white sand beach with breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez, making it a beautiful backdrop for a beach photoshoot.

And here are also some extra tips for you:

• When planning your photography session, consider the time it will take you to get to the location.
• The best time for a photoshoot is the “Golden Hour”, which is right after the sun rises or before it sets.
• Always keep in mind the weather conditions and take advantage of them!
